Discover Cozero’s new Home section: enhanced data visibility, Milestones and task manager for decentralized data collection and review.

Our new home section enhances data visibility, task management, and high-level company footprint data for all users. This feature includes a task manager and notification center, addressing user demand and supporting our 4-eye principle tool.

What's in the home section?

  • Quick link to create logs, bulk imports, product logs, request supplier data, or invite users.

  • An overview of your Company emissions, with a direct link to our Cozero dashboard where you get further reports and insights.

  • Our new feature: The Cozero task manager is tailored for sustainability teams, ensuring seamless assignment of data collection tasks, tracking progress, and enforcing the four-eye principle for data accuracy.

    Designed for decentralized organizations, the task manager allows sustainability managers to assign tasks to data collectors, managing timelines and ensuring increases information sharing. Leverage the task manager to achieve your company milestones, and use the Status section to implement four-eye principles in your emissions calculations. The task manager supports transparency and clarity in data collection and review process, supporting better decision-making based on quality data insights.

How to use the Task manager:

Step 1: Start by adding a milestone.

  • Click on + Add a milestone. This will open a navigation panel on the right side of your screen

  • Select the Business unit for which you want to define your milestone.

  • Note: The tasks to achieve this milestone will need to match the Business unit level. Make sure you take into consideration the users who will support you in achieving this milestone, as they need to have access to that business unit.

  • Name your milestone with a clear naming.

  • Add any details useful for milestone completion to the Notes section. Here for example, include links to documentation relevant to that milestone definition.

  • Define an Owner, and/or Supporters.

    These user will: Get notifications of progress made on Tasks, and Have approval rights on the completion of sub-tasks.

  • Pick a deadline for milestone completion.

  • Now that your first milestone is created, you can save it by clicking on "Save milestone". You can then create Tasks.

Step 2: Create tasks necessary to achieve your Milestone

  • Click on + Create a task. This will open a navigation panel on the right side on your screen

  • Select a business unit. Make sure the Milestone and the Task have the same Business Unit.

  • Name your task with a clear naming.

  • Set a deadline for the completion of the task.

  • Set an owner for this task. Task Owners are responsible for completing the task, and changing its status.

  • Status:

    • Select the status: Set it as To Do.

    • The Task owners will be responsible to set the task from To do to in progress when they are in the process of completing the task.

    • The Task owners will be responsible to set the task from In progress to To review when they are in the process of completing the task.

    • The Milestone owner / Reviewer will be responsible to set the task from To review to Completed when the task has been reviewed and the quality of data accounting has been verified.

  • Milestone: You can link tasks to Milestones from both the Task and the Milestones navigation panels.

  • Optional: Select a relevant carbon footprint topic: This can help you filter through tasks, depending on the import option. You can filter for Corporate of Product carbon footprints, uploaded via the platform or via Bulk import.

  • Add any details useful for task completion to the Notes section. Here for example, include links to documentation relevant to that task definition, or links to your internal documentation servers to keep track of calculation files that you do not wish to attach to Cozero logs.

  • When done, click on "Save the task".

Using the task manager:

  • Leverage the filters to filter the Task table by:

    • Task name

    • Status: To filter for tasks To do, in progress, or ready for review.

    • Topic - to filter for Corporate of Product carbon footprints, uploaded via the platform or via Bulk import.

    • Deadline

    • Owner: to filter for specific task responsibles

    • Created by: to filter for specific milestone managers

Using the notification system:

  • The Cozero notification system will notify task owners via email and in platform, in the "All updates" section found on the left-hand side navigation bar, below the Home button, when a task is added to the To Do.

  • The Cozero notification system will notify Task reviewers and Milestone owners via email and in platform, in the "All updates" section, when a task is ready for review or completed.
